On July 13, 2026, Nawzad Ghafur Rabati, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, within the framework of developing economic relations, along with Maxim Malyarchuk, Chairman of the Russia-Iraq Business Council, Dr. Danar Abubakr, Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Russia, and Shwan Zubair from the Department of Foreign Relations, visited the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce warehouse project.
The President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry stated that Russian merchants can, directly and without intermediaries or third parties, bring their goods to Sulaymaniyah and work directly with merchants, distributing them from this center across all of Iraq.
For his part, Malyarchuk expressed his admiration for the level of organization and activity of this commercial center, and emphasized that Sulaymaniyah can become a commercial bridge between Russia and Iraq through the implementation of joint work.
This visit represents an effort to familiarize with commercial, investment, industrial, agricultural, and tourism activities, as well as the level of security and stability in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
