Kurdistan Region Trade Delegation Meets with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade

As part of the ongoing trade mission of the Kurdistan Region delegation to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nawzad Ghafur Rabati, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mohammed Rasul Safary, Vice President, participated in an official meeting with the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Kurdistan Region delegation was received by (Aliyev Akram Zairovich), Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, who expressed his pleasure at the visit, emphasized the importance of developing economic and trade relations between the two sides, and expressed his hope that this visit would mark the beginning of practical steps to establish joint cooperation and expand investment between the Kurdistan Region and Uzbekistan.
Nawzad Ghafur Rabati, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered a speech during the meeting, stating that traders of the Kurdistan Region wish to work with Uzbek traders in accordance with the laws and facilities provided to investors. He pointed out that Sulaymaniyah Governorate has witnessed significant development in the fields of investment, industry, trade, agriculture, and tourism, and highlighted the facilities and incentives that the Kurdistan Region provides to domestic and foreign investors.
The President of the Chamber stressed that the city of Sulaymaniyah is suitable for investors and traders in terms of stability and security, affirming that the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry will facilitate and support companies wishing to engage in joint work in the tourism, agriculture, and investment sectors in the Kurdistan Region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of continued dialogue, the exchange of trade delegations, and the development of bilateral cooperation in a way that serves the mutual interests of the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Kurdistan Region trade delegation participating in this mission is headed by Gaylan Haji Saeed, Head of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the Kurdistan Region, along with Nawzad Ghafur as his deputy and Head of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed Rasul Safary, Sabir Amin, Ahmed Ali Kalari, Bahman Osman, and Khaled Haji Ali, in addition to a number of directors of governmental departments in the Kurdistan Region, general directors of various ministries, an advisor to the Minister of Agriculture, and a group of traders from the Kurdistan Region.
