The Uzbekistan-Kurdistan Region Trade Conference Was Held
The trade conference between Uzbekistan and the Kurdistan Region was held in the capital Tashkent, with the aim of strengthening trade and economic relations and finding new partnership opportunities.
The conference was attended by Nawzad Ghafur Rabati, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Muhammad Rasul Safray, Vice President, along with Ahmed Ali Kalari, Sabir Amin, Bahman Othman, and Khaled Hajji Ali, members of the Administrative Board of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce, together with the Kurdistan Region trade delegation.
In the first part of the conference, Nawzad Ghafur Rabati, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of strengthening trade relations between the Kurdistan Region and Uzbekistan.
He said: “We are happy to participate in this trade conference in Tashkent. The participation of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the arrival of a trade delegation to Uzbekistan indicates that we attach great importance to developing joint work with Uzbek companies and businessmen.”
The President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry also pointed out that Sulaymaniyah city has vast investment opportunities in housing, agriculture, tourism, and many other fields and sectors.
He emphasized that the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to support and assist Uzbek merchants and investors for joint work, and in his speech, he presented opportunities for joint work and investment in Sulaymaniyah city.
In another part of the conference, direct meetings and dialogues were held between merchants of the Kurdistan Region and Uzbekistan. In these meetings, participants discussed opportunities for joint work and the development of trade transactions and partnerships, with the aim of becoming acquainted with each other’s capabilities, products, and projects.
The Kurdistan Region trade delegation, headed by Gaylan Haji Saeed, President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the Kurdistan Region, and Nawzad Ghafur, Vice President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Muhammad Rasul Safray, Sabir Amin, Ahmed Ali Kalari, Bahman Othman, and Khaled Hajji Ali, in addition to a number of directors of government departments in the Kurdistan Region, general directors of various ministries, the advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture, and a group of merchants from the Kurdistan Region, are participating in this trade trip to Uzbekistan.
