On June 7, 2026 Nawzad Ghafour Rabati, Head of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Mohammed Rasul Safara (Vice President), Burhan Ali, Jawhar Star, Obaid Sulaiman, Bahman Osman, and Sabir Amin (members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors), welcomed Lukáš Giurič, Consul General of the Czech Republic in the Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, which was attended by a number of traders from various agricultural sectors, the advancements in the agricultural sector in the Kurdistan Region were discussed.
Nawzad Ghafour Rabati, Head of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that alongside trade, economy, and industry, the Chamber gives great importance to the agricultural sector, which is one of the key sectors witnessing progress in Sulaymaniyah province. He also noted that in Sulaymaniyah city, the agricultural sector is advancing, and he called on the Czech Consul to pay attention to agriculture in Sulaymaniyah province, adding that the Chamber would cooperate to develop this sector and establish coordination and communication.
Lukáš Giurič, Consul General of the Czech Republic in the Kurdistan Region, expressed his happiness at meeting a group of agricultural traders and indicated that the Czech Republic is working to advance the agricultural sector in the Kurdistan Region, especially in Sulaymaniyah. He expressed hope that they could carry out joint work together.
