On May 12, 2026, Nawzad Ghafur Rabati, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Shene Ikhtiyar (Vice President), Jawhar Star, Bahman Osman, and Kazhew Kawa (members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors), received a sports delegation consisting of Karwan Sheikh Zirek, Hawkar Rashid, Swara Karim, Solin Osman, and artist Aras Koy.
During the visit, the importance of private sector support for the field of sports was discussed. Emphasis was also placed on artistic activities and works that can help advance and develop sports in the city of Sulaymaniyah. The meeting also addressed an artistic project by artist Aras Koy related to a workshop.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of joint cooperation and coordination to support and promote sports, and to create a better environment for young people and athletes in Sulaymaniyah.
