With the aim of participating in a meeting between the provinces of the Kurdistan Region and the Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj), the President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry traveled to Sanandaj City.
On May 20, 2025, Nawzad Ghafur, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, arrived at Erbil International Airport as part of a delegation from the Kurdistan Region’s provinces, accompanied by Dr. Haval Abubakr, Governor of Sulaymaniyah; Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Nuxshin Nasih, Governor of Halabja; and Dr. Ali Tatar, Governor of Duhok. The delegation also included the presidents of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Erbil, Duhok, and Halabja, as well as directors of border crossings.
The visit was coordinated with the presence of Framarz Asadi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil, and Ahmad Reza Rastgar, First Consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sulaymaniyah. Upon the invitation and hospitality of Arash Lahoni, Governor of Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj), the delegation attended the periodic meeting of the border provinces of the Kurdistan Region and Eastern Kurdistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran (Kurdistan [Sanandaj], Kermanshah, and Urmia).
Upon arrival at Sanandaj Airport, they were warmly welcomed by senior officials from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kurdistan Province, and the proud people of Sanandaj.
