On March 5, 2026, Nawzad Ghafur, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Shine Ikhtiyar, Vice President of the Chamber, and Obaid Sulaiman and Burhan Ali, members of the Administrative Board, received Nawzad Sheikh Kamil, the General Director of Trade for the Kurdistan Region, and Bland Ahmed, the General Director of Commercial Oversight in Sulaymaniyah, inside the warehouses of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In this context, both sides visited a number of warehouses and depots belonging to the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to closely inspect the quantities and conditions of food items and basic necessities for citizens.
After touring a number of food warehouses, it was confirmed that the warehouses are full of food and essential goods, and there is no shortage in the market. Furthermore, the arrival of food and goods is continuous. Both sides emphasized that they will continue to monitor the market and warehouses to maintain market stability and reassure citizens.
