Visit of the Turkish Business Association (USİAD) to the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce
On January 18, 2026, Nawzad Ghafur, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Aram Babaan, a member of the Chamber’s Administrative Board, received Nevaf Kılıço, President of the National Association of Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen (USİAD), along with a group of Turkish business owners and merchants.
During the meeting, the President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed expanding their commercial and industrial relations between the two sides and the importance of forming business partnerships to increase trade and industrial exchange between Turkish and Sulaymaniyah merchants.
For his part, Nevaf Kılıço, President of USİAD, in a speech, highlighted the importance of the Kurdistan Region and Sulaymaniyah city as an important market for Turkish trade, especially in the fields of industry, agriculture, and energy. He expressed his organization’s readiness for joint work and organizing trade delegations between the two sides.
These visits will serve as an important catalyst for initiating broader dialogue to diversify avenues of cooperation in various fields such as factory establishment, advancement of the industrial, agricultural, and tourism sectors, and banking, construction, and transportation systems.
