On March 3, 2026, Shine Ikhtiyar, the Vice President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Ribaz Najm, the President of the World Kurdish Federation, and Lawk Ahmed, from the Federation’s Relations Department. The World Kurdish Federation operates as a global cultural-economic institution and focuses on strengthening international relations.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the participation of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the merchants, industrialists, and investors of Sulaymaniyah Governorate in a cultural-economic activity taking place in Germany, in the cities of Stuttgart, Berlin, and Dresden.
Ribaz Najm extended an official invitation from his Federation to the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to participate in those activities. He also indicated that in the city of Dresden, a joint activity will be held between the World Kurdish Federation and the Kurdish University in Germany, where a special day will be dedicated for meetings and bringing together businessmen from Kurdistan and Germany, with the aim of creating business partnerships and expanding economic work between the two sides.
For his part, Shine Ikhtiyar expressed his happiness with the visit and thanked him for the invitation, emphasizing that the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry consistently focuses on expanding international relations, and that this invitation can be a new factor for strengthening commercial partnerships with Germany and developing the international market for local companies and investors.
