The President of Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce Welcomes the Director of IOM
On September 18, 2025, Nawzad Ghafur, President of Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcomed Aso Mohammed, Director of the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) office in Sulaymaniyah, and Bakar Rashid, Project Manager at IOM.
The purpose of this visit was to strengthen relationships and expand collaborative efforts to better serve the industrial sector and small and medium-sized enterprises, with particular emphasis on expanding individual projects, focusing on women’s employment, and providing them support.
Aso Mohammed, Director of IOM in Sulaymaniyah, stated that his organization implements its work and projects within Sulaymaniyah Province, and that completed projects have received full financial support according to required specifications.
Nawzad Ghafur, President of Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed his pleasure with this visit and stated: “As Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we always support organizations that collaborate to advance the industrial sector and medium-sized projects in Sulaymaniyah Province, which serves as an important factor in creating job opportunities and increasing domestic production.”
The President of Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasized that both parties are working together to cooperate and promote the industrial, agricultural, environmental and technological innovation sectors, which constitutes a successful factor for the sustainability and continuity of projects while creating more job opportunities.
