The Korniche Darwaza Project was inaugurated.
In the presence of Mr. Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government; Mr. Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Deputy President of the Kurdistan Region; Mr.Haval Abubakr, Governor of Sulaymaniyah; and officials from Sulaymaniyah’s governmental departments, investors, and businessmen, the Korniche Darwaza Project was inaugurated.
On July 7, 2025, Nawzad Ghafoor, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Shinai Ikhtiyar, Vice President of the Chamber; and Obeid Ahmed, a member of the Chamber’s Administrative Council, participated in the opening of the Korniche Darwaza Project.
The 1,300-meter-long promenade includes shops, hotels, and commercial offices and will serve as a significant tourist destination for Sulaymaniyah city.
