The Head of the Chamber Participated in the Ceremony of the Eighth Anniversary of Jalal Talabani’s Passing
On 3/10/2025, Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed, the First Lady of Iraq, along with Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, participated alongside Nuzad Ghafur, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Obeid Ahmed, Member of the Chamber’s Administrative Council, in the First International Scientific Conference on President Mam Jalal, “Facts and Historical Positions,” at the University of Sulaymaniyah.
The conference continues on Saturday, 4/10/2015, and will present (20) scientific research papers across five panels focusing on the political thought of President Mam Jalal and his role and impact on the peace process, freedom of expression, human rights, and the consolidation of the democratic process in Iraq after 2003, as well as the role and influence of President Mam Jalal on China’s relations with Kurdistan and Iraq and their efforts towards stability, coexistence, and the protection of the rights of components. It is worth noting that the panels are held simultaneously in Congress Halls (B, C, E, D, F) at the Presidency of the University of Sulaymaniyah in the (Kurdish, Arabic, English) languages.
