On December 21, 2025, Nawzad Ghafour, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Aram Babaan, a member of the Chamber’s Administrative Council, participated in the opening of a new factory for producing organic agricultural chemicals, named Plant Energy, within the borders of Raparin. This project is expected to play a significant role in advancing local agriculture and providing high-quality chemical products for farmers.
The opening ceremony was attended by Begard Talabani, Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources, Kwestan Muhammad, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, along with many senior officials, government representatives, and investors.
Nawzad Ghafour, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, conveyed a congratulatory message to the project owner and all the residents of Raparin district on the start of an important agricultural project that provides a suitable opportunity for farmers to obtain a high-quality local product in the easiest way.
He also noted that the factory will contribute to improving agricultural output by providing high-quality organic chemicals at an appropriate price, creating new job opportunities in the Raparin area, encouraging local production, and reducing reliance on imported chemicals.
