Kurdistan Region – Northern Kurdistan (Turkey) Economic and Trade Forum Held
Nawzad Ghafour Rabati, President of the Sulaimani Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with a number of the Chamber’s administrative council members, participated in the Kurdistan Region – Northern Kurdistan (Turkey) Economic and Trade Forum. The forum was attended by the Secretary-General of the International Businessmen and Industrialists Association (USİAD) in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey, as well as the president and members of the Kurdistan Region Importers and Exporters Union, the Kurdistan Contractors Union – Sulaimani Branch, the Distribution Companies Union, and a number of businesspeople from Sulaimani Province.
At the Kurdistan Region – Northern Kurdistan (Turkey) Economic and Trade Forum, Nevaf Kılıç, Secretary-General of the International Businessmen and Industrialists Association (USİAD) in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey, stated: “Sulaimani Province is important to us, and we want to strengthen our relations. This visit is for sharing business with the businesspeople and industrialists of Sulaimani Province to become closely acquainted with the commercial activities of both sides.”
At the forum, Nawzad Ghafour Rabati, President of the Sulaimani Chamber of Commerce and Industry, delivered a speech and announced: “We welcome companies from the Republic of Turkey to Sulaimani city. This is the first visit by commercial companies after the lifting of the ban on Sulaimani International Airport by the Republic of Turkey.”
He added: “Sulaimani city has many work and investment opportunities in the industrial, agricultural, tourism, and food sectors, from which Turkish companies can benefit and share their activities with businesspeople in Sulaimani Province.”
The President of the Sulaimani Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed his hope that these visits would continue and that both sides would cooperate in advancing the economic sector.
At the conclusion of the forum, a B2B business meeting was held between companies from Sulaimani city and the Republic of Turkey.
