On December 9, 2025, Nawzad Ghafur, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Dr. (Haifa Faisal Shahin Al Hamadi), the Executive Director of Saqr Al Shahin Company, and Ata Anwar, the owner of Sama Company.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss the International Conference on Innovation and Opportunities in the UAE, which is being implemented in cooperation with the French International Centre for Scientists and Innovators in the United Arab Emirates. The conference aims to showcase the latest innovations and provide new energy sources to the community, with the goal of offering opportunities for governments, international organizations, and investors to sponsor those projects that meet their needs. It also serves as an opportunity for innovators to present their ideas and discoveries and find suitable funding methods for them.
Dr. (Haifa Faisal Shahin Al Hamadi), the Executive Director of Saqr Al Shahin Company, stated that the conference serves as a strategic platform to showcase scientific and technological solutions for overcoming future challenges in all aspects of life. “A prosperous future can only be built through the efforts and innovations of scientists and researchers.” This aligns with the vision and directions of the UAE to strengthen its position as a global center for science and innovation. Therefore, we look forward to the participation of experts and owners of new innovations from the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce to showcase their progress.
The conference’s theme focuses on innovation and sustainable development, international experiences in supporting innovators, innovation in the fields of medicine and engineering, protection of intellectual property and inventors’ rights, showcasing young innovators’ projects, highlighting the role of universities and research centers in nurturing innovation, developing innovations in the field of management, transforming ideas into startups, and providing investment and opportunities for international companies to participate in this prestigious global event held in the United Arab Emirates from (January 30-31 – February 1, 2026).
Nawzad Ghafur, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed his happiness with the visit and announced his support for focusing on the participation of innovators from Sulaymaniyah Governorate with the aim of showcasing their new ideas that support science, progress, and well-being, and serve humanity and society.
He also indicated that in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, we have creative young people with ideas who are capable of contributing greatly to new innovations and progress, and we hope to provide them with a suitable opportunity to showcase their science and ideas.
