On February 7, 2026, Nawzad Ghafur, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated in a meeting with a Saudi trade delegation headed by Muhammad Suleiman Al-Asiri, the Consul General of that country in the Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, which was attended by merchants and investors from Sulaymaniyah Governorate, investment opportunities in the Kurdistan Region, particularly in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, were discussed.
