On May 12, 2025, Khalid Haji Ali, Babaan Osman, and Kazew Kawa, members of the Administrative Council of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated in an investment conference held in the United States of America.
The largest annual investment conference in the USA attracts over 50,000 investors. This year, 50 investors from Iraq attended, half of whom (25 investors) were from the Kurdistan Region, including a trade and investment delegation from Sulaymaniyah.
The goal of their participation was to learn about U.S. investment mechanisms. The Sulaymaniyah Chamber delegation held talks and meetings with several American investors and officials to introduce them to investment laws in the Kurdistan Region and the opportunities available in Sulaymaniyah Province, particularly in the industrial, agricultural, food, tourism, banking, and other sectors.
