On August 13, 2026, a broad meeting was held between the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of relevant government institutions, and owners of offices and companies for buying and selling houses, land, and residential units, to discuss the problems and challenges facing this sector and to find appropriate solutions for regulating and improving the market.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nawzad Ghafur Rabati, President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Shaho Osman, Deputy Governor of Sulaymaniyah, Rizan Sulaiman, Director of Property Tax, Delir Kamal, Director of Income Tax One, Zana Mahmud, Director of Income Tax Two, Ako Ali, representative of the Sulaymaniyah Municipality Presidency, and the representative of Sulaymaniyah Economic Security.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In the meeting, Muhammad Rasul Safray, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, along with Jawhar Star, Aram Babaan, and Obaid Sulaiman, members of the Chamber’s Administrative Board, as well as a number of office owners and representatives of companies for buying and selling houses, land, and residential units, participated.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry thanked the Deputy Governor of Sulaymaniyah and the representatives of relevant institutions for responding to the Chamber’s invitation to listen to the problems and demands of office and company owners in this sector.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nawzad Ghafur Rabati emphasized that this meeting was held at the request of owners of offices and companies for buying and selling houses, land, and residential units, in order to, in cooperation with government institutions, raise the main problems of the market and find a legal solution for them.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Among the most important topics discussed in the meeting was the increase in the number of people working in the real estate sector without a license and illegally, as well as those dealing in districts and sub-districts away from the oversight of relevant institutions, especially the buying and selling of agricultural lands and untitled lands. The impact of social media on the real estate market and its use for advertising and buying and selling houses and lands by unlicensed persons was also one of the topics of discussion. Attendees indicated that some companies and offices affect the market and the working methods of licensed offices by creating a large number of pages and social media platforms.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At the conclusion of the meeting, all participating parties emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination between government institutions and the private sector, and agreed that appropriate steps must be taken to regulate and clarify transactions and protect the rights of office owners and citizens, in order to ensure that the market for houses, land, and residential units in Sulaymaniyah Governorate operates legally and in an organized manner.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
