On February 2, 2026, a delegation from the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed by Nawzad Ghafur, President of the Chamber, and including members of the Administrative Board Burhan Ali, Jawhar Star, and Bahman Othman, visited the Bashmakh International Border Crossing.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

During the visit, the delegation separately met with Muhammad Tahir, the Supervisor of the Bashmakh International Crossing Complex, and Hawzhin Salar, the Director of the Bashmakh Crossing.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The purpose of the visit was to discuss the latest developments and the state of trade exchange at the crossing, as well as to find ways to improve and facilitate the movement of goods.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As one of the most important commercial crossings in the Kurdistan Region, the Bashmakh International Border Crossing plays a key role in the economic relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran and in supplying most goods to the local market.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
