On May 21, 2025, Nawzad Ghafour, the head of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated in the signing of an agreement between the provinces of the Kurdistan Region and the Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj).<\/span><\/div>\n

As part of efforts to strengthen economic and trade relations and enhance commercial exchanges between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region, the second day of the third joint meeting of the bordering provinces of the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran witnessed the signing of the agreement. The Kurdistan Region\u2019s delegation included the governors of (Sulaymaniyah, Erbil, Duhok, and Halabja), the chambers of commerce of Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, Erbil, and Duhok, as well as the delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Arshad Zarein Tanha Loni, the governor of Kurdistan Province, and the governors of (Kermanshah, West Azerbaijan).<\/span><\/div>\n

Nawzad Ghafour, the head of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that the signing of the agreement emphasized advancing, improving, and strengthening trade and economic activities. An agreement was also signed between all seven provinces to further promote trade movement through border crossings between the two sides and to address any shortcomings, issues, or challenges that may arise.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The head of the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce also mentioned that on the second day, the delegation visited the Kurdistan Science and Technology Center, where they closely observed the innovations of the center\u2019s inventors. The directors and supervisors of the center presented the various sections and halls, explaining the workings and innovations of the center.<\/span><\/div>\n

Another part of the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation\u2019s visit included Nor University, where they toured the export capabilities exhibition of Kurdistan Province. After reviewing all sections of the exhibition, Nawzad Ghafour visited the Sanandaj Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where discussions were held on strengthening relations and improving trade activities.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
